Image Thresholding for Background Removal

Image preprocessing for white and near-white background removal through threshold segmentation.

Context and problem

Foreground objects needed to be separated from light backgrounds with a simple explainable processing method.

Developed RGB thresholding, edge-preservation tuning, and noise-reduction post-processing in MATLAB.
